The United States of America's Need for Health Care

Now that Obama sat down with the dem's and rep's for a dialog in what was supposed to be a bipartisanship, An open dialog with president Obama acting as mediator. It turned out to be nothing more then both sides wanting their own way. Neither side wants to let the other side look better . Congress in general cares not about you and I. They don't care because they already have the best health care plan that there is in this country and you and I and every other American citizen pay for that . However, congress especially the republicans and independents are not willing to spend one cent to see that the people that pays their wages and put them in power has good affordable health care.

Here in Hawaii, the law says that any employee working 20 hours a week or more must be offered health insurance by the employer. At first that sounds like a good deal but in reality what happens is a lot of employers here will hire people and work them up to nineteen hours a week and that is it. So, you have a lot of people in Hawaii working two and three jobs just to make a 40 hour week and still are not covered with any kind of health insurance. I can assure you all that if congress had to be in the same health care plan that every American had, there would always be plenty of money for good quality health care in America!

I hope that congress understands that President Obama can and hopefully will just ram this bill through and will not need any help from the republicans i congress. if the President does so it will become law and believe me when I say that the United States needs uniformed, affordable health care for it's citizens.

I know there are a lot of folks in this country that are really against any kind of government run health care. I think that these people do not know or understand
the problems that a lot of people in this country face . There are a lot of hard working, honest people in this country that need health care provided to them from our government. We have people with young children that have no health care and even if one can afford to buy health insurance on their own there is always the problem with pre - existing conditions. Most insurance companies will not write a policy for someone with an pre - existing condition and even if they do then. that person is paying triple the premiums then a person that has no pre - existing condition.

Ihave lived in countries that do have government run health care and it has always been a good thing. There is always some give and take in a government run health care program but still in this writer's opinion it is much better then what we have now.
That is mostly doe to the fact that what we have now is a system where if you have enough money to purchase health care or are covered by employer health insurance then you stay healthier then those who are not covered by employer health insurance or private insurance plans.

It is time for congress to do what is right for the American people . No more empty promises or the same words over and over. Now is the time for action Give America health care!

"It is time for those of us in Washington to live up to our responsibilities to the American people and to future generations,"

I agree with the President, the tens of millions of men and women who cannot afford their health insurance cannot wait another generation for us to act. Small businesses cannot wait. Americans with pre-existing conditions cannot wait. State and federal budgets cannot sustain these rising costs. So members of congress now is the time

Just Do IT!

Help For Americans

It seems that in Tracey, California residents that call 911 for some calls are charged $300.00 and non- residents are being charged $400.00.

I know these emergency services have to have some sort of charge. However, to charge an elderly person or a poor person, who probably cannot afford health care coverage to begin with, is nothing short of insane and greedy.

These emergency medical response teams are hear to save lives if at all possible and I would think that most hospitals have some sort of fund to cover these expenses in cases like these. Most cities/counties have a membership fee per year. You would pay so much every year and then use the ambulance and advanced life support all you need. However, as I have stated many times in my life in regard to situations like this,
there are many many people most of them elderly In 1999 there were 32.3 Million people in this country living on or below the poverty level as set forth by the US Government.

Once again, there are many people that during the winter months must decide if they will heat their homes during the winter of if they will have food to eat. Are we suppose to think that these people can afford 300 or 400 dollars for a ride to the hospital?
It is pure crap to treat our elderly in this manner and our it is pure crap to treat our poor in this manner also. It is our government that should see that these people get a fair shake The poor, helpless, homeless, elderly, should all be taken care of.

Once a person is of retirement age and actually retired they should have indeed have free rent, Free medical care including free medicines and, Free heat in their homes during winter months. There are a few countries that actually do this for their people and the seem to handle it quite well.

Now please do not get me wrong. I am an American and proud of it. I love my country and would fight to my death to protect it. However, I as most people can see that we have some very major issues in this country and Washington DC needs to get it's priorities straight and start taking care of the ones that need taking care of. The American Citizen. We need our government to do what is right for our people. As I stated before if the government can give over 700 billion dollars to wall street and and the rest of the crooks in this country then the government can afford to help the American Citizen.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Between 11 million and 11 .2 million illegal immigrants are estimated to be living in the U.S.A. Exact figures are very hard to come by This is mainly due to the very nature of illegal immigration and it seems as if the federal government either can not keep it's numbers correctly or they just do not want the federal figure known.

Now to try to find a solution to the Illegal immigrant problem, the United States government is doing next to nothing! I have included a video from CNN News of an amnesty bill that would have if passed (Thank God it was not passed ) would have given the illegal immigrants everything and most of it for free Follow this link and you can see for yourself how much cretin lawmakers in this country think of Americans. This so called amnesty bill was a real slap in the face to the people of the United States that work hard and pay their bill and their taxes. This bill and all the measures in it would have been paid for by the tax paying citizens of this country. Here is the link to this outrageous video on immigration legislation get ready because you will not like this at all.

This writer believes that the American citizen has been given the short end of the stick way to many times. I know of a case where an American citizen in CA. was taken to a hospital emergency room for emergency treatment and a illegal immigrant also arrived at the same emergency room at about the same time for treatment. The Illegal had NO insurance and no money to pay However, he was still treated. The American citizen was down on his luck was between jobs and was not old enough for social security or medicare so he also had no insurance. Due to his lack of insurance and his inability to pay he was denied treatment. I know this because a friend of mine told me this and the citizen was his grand father. most hospitals across America are not suppose to allow this to happen yet i some state it happens all the time.

There is something very wrong when American tax paying citizens are denied treatment . as Illegals get treatment regardless of their ability to pay. The cost of just giving these welfare, food stamps, education and free medical care is just staggering to say the least The state by state break down has opened my eyes to a lot of things

One of the things that I now understand is that The American people are grossly being taken advantage of by our own government and the sad reality of it all is that we, the American people allow this to happen. Unless we all stand together and force the United States government to stop this abuse of our tax dollar and the abuse on our hard earned money , it will continue and it will only get worse.

I think there are a few ways we can stop this abuse of our tax money. One... The American people could stand together and send a LOUD and CLEAR message to Washington DC that we will no longer stand for our tax dollars to be wasted on Illegals that work under the table and yet get welfare and free food stamps as well as free education and free medical care.

Two...I firmly believe that if the United States government wanted to do so they could force every Illegal in this country to work a job and have their wages attached until each one of them has enough money saved to buy a plane ticket back to where ever it was they came from and guards could make sure these people get on the flight that will take them home. That way we could send the illegals back home and they would paying for it with their own money. It is true that doing like that would mean the government would be allowing some one to work in the country that is not allowed to work legally here however, most of them are already working and getting paid under the table anyhow. this way we could at least get them to pay for their own way home. The government is always giving tax credits to employers for one reason or another so they could indeed give employers a tax credit to hire these people and attach their wages in order to get them sent back. the only other way I can see could be to do a mass deportation and that would cost the American tax payer somewhere
between 40 and 50 billion dollars.

One thing is for sure. We must do something and do it very soon. in 2009 there were about 11.2 million Illegals in this country with an estimated half a million more coming across our borders and into the USA Illegally every year.

America is your country so please stand united and let's all do something about this abuse of our tax money and abuse of our rights. if anyone of you have any ideas about how to solve this problem then, Please let me know.

Country Music then and now

I think it is safe to assume that during our lives or at least during some point of our lives music play a vital role in each of our lives. No matter what type of music you are into music plays a vital role in each life. I myself have always liked several types of music. From pop to easy soft sounds all the way to heavy metal and long hair metal, jazz and soul music have always been good for me also.

back in the 60's my mother and older sister took me to a country music show. Now back then I was only a small child but still I was thrilled and totally in awe of a singer by the name of Jean Shepard. This lady had me memorized at her stage presence and her style. Since that point I knew I would love country music forever

A little background for you on the birth of country music. The first commercial recording of what was considered country music was "Sallie Gooden" by fiddlist A.C. (Eck) Robertson in 1922 for Victor Records. Columbia Records began issuing records with "hillbilly" music (series 15000D "Old Familiar Tunes") as early as 1924.
Country music back then was pretty simple and straight forward . Through out the years country music evolved into a music of the people real people with real lives and country music was a music the folks could identify with because it was a music filled with hopes and dreams and tragedy just like the lives of the people who listened to it and bought the recordings of country.

Country music grew so much in such a short time that a radio show was started called the Grand Ole Opryin 1925 on radio station WSM am out of Nashville Tenn. As country went on to continue to gain much popularity it found a permanent home in the Ryan Auditorium or the mother church of country music also in Nashville.

Country music continued to grow and grow in popularity and for many years drums were not allowed on the Grand Ole Opry as thet were considered to make to much noise and not to be pure as the country sound was considered to be. Then in the early 40's drums were finally brought to the Opry stage for the first time. Still, country music stayed fairly simple and straight forward.

As time went on and now into the 1950's Country Music simply exploded and we now had such artis such as Kitty Wells, Buck Owens and, jean Shepard on the opry and Jean as well as Kitty Wells opened the door for many other female country music artist because up until Kitty Wells and Jean Shepard country music was very much a man's world. These two ladies are still very active and still tour bringing real Country Music to people all over the world. Just a few of the other artist that can be said to have helped Country Music come as far as it has are artist like Buck Owens, Charlie Poole,
Roy Acuff, Minnie pearl, Grandpa Jones, Earnest Tubb, Patsy Cline. These are just to name a few and if it were not for these artist Coutry Music would not be what it is today and artist such as Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette , Garth Brooks and Clint Black may not have had the chances they had to be in Country Music or at least may not have achieved the great success that they have enjoyed.

today's Country Music is not what it was back in the 50's and 60's when Country Music was exploding but, if you listen carefully you can still hear the country sounds of yesteryear . You will still hear the fiddle and banjo and that good old down home country sounds that will always be part of Country Music.

Now I will share with you 3 links to You Tube videos of Jean Shepard. if you watch these videos you see how Country Music has changed and you will also see a Country Music artist that has been a part of the grand ole opry for over 55 years and how she has always been able to wrap a song around her finger to make that great country music

ABORTION & BREAST CANCER

More and more studies show that there is indeed a connection between abortion and breast cancer. Women are starting to see that the rate of breast cancer is a lot higher in women who have had abortions then the ones who have not had abortions.

This writer hopes that the cancer news will help curb the amount of abortions that are preformed each day in this country. The use of abortion as birth control should never have been allowed in this country to begin with. I have heard all the excuses about why we should allow abortions and I can find myself to agree with any of them. The real big one is abortions should be allowed due to all the rapes and incest that happen. Well, about 1 percent of all abortions preformed in this country are done so because of rape and or incest.

The other reasons are anything from the mother being not ready to have a child to The condom broke. I can not in good faith say that there is any good reason for abortion due to the fact that as soon as that egg is fertilized the human cells start to appear and there is a human life growing inside the mother's womb and for anyone to take a human life is just down right wrong.

One thing that really gets me going is when I have a person tell me that a woman has the right to her own body. I agree she indeed has the right to what happens to her body. However, that unborn child inside of her also has a right to it's body and as far as when is it a life? Well some experts say they can hear a baby's heart beat anywhere from 22 to 24 weeks, others say with new technology a babys heart beat can be detected at 12 weeks and as medical technology improves I am sure doctors will be able to detected earlier and earlier.

Even though abortion is legal in the US my hope is that some day it will no longer be legal. The only way I can even half consider legal abortions would be abortions done for reason of brutal rape and or incest and maybe if there was medical proof that the baby would cause the death of the mother and neither the mother or the baby would survive a full or partial term pregnancy and neither of them could be saved by use of a cesarian. Like in the cases of pre-eclampsia which one could save both mother and baby in most cases without use of abortion. And in cases of rare blood disorders that could cause the mother making dangerous amounts of antibodies as an reaction to the pregnancy. Only in cases like the ones mentioned could I ever say an abortion would be the correct choice.

The way this writer sees it, there is always birth control and adoption of new born babies. There is also foster care and yes, I have heard all the horror stories about foster and all the abuse that go's on in foster care homes. i am sure this all happens in some foster care homes but at least these kids have a chance to rise above it all and make a good life for themselves. Also, I know many individuals that were in foster care for many years and were lucky enough to be with loving families and these foster care kids had a good life. Not all foster care situations are bad !

Maybe I have now ruffled some feathers with this blog. If so, then so be it. In this writer's opinion, this country should make it as difficult as they can to have access
to a legal abortion.

Keeping an watchful eye on the sun

Finally NASA is going to do better sun weather forecasts, you might be wondering why this would be important to our lives.

The fact is the sun is everything for us, it controls the weather systems of Earth and with new special tools to keep an eye on it, we would be able to prepare against possible power blackouts caused by strong solar flares, this would not only protect our astronauts but also be useful in our ever technological but super solar flare vulnerable world.

I would say we have pushed our luck so far not knowing more what is going on in over at our sweet sun. taking it for granted and thought it to be docile, kind and ever-present in our day to day activities, just broken of by night-time and an occasional storm or cloud-cover.

What is this?

HEALTH CARE REFORM

Hello and Welcome to my Blog. This blog will be updated at least once a week and more often when I have time . Today's issue is on Health Care Reform.

The one thing I will give president Obama is his desire to supply the American people with heath care. He at least knows and understands that there are a lot of people in this country that work two and three jobs and still can not afford to buy health insurance and there are even more people in this country that are not covered by employer plans and are denied health insurance due to pre-existing conditions.
The many Americans that do not want government run health insurance seem to not understand or do not care about their fellow citizens. We have people in this country that are honest and hard working people paying their own way and these same people are the ones who are not covered by employer health plans and the same ones that must decide each winter to either heat their homes or eat during the cold months. It is our government's duty to supply these people with heath care and if that means putting in a public option then so be it.

The health care reform bill is not dead it has just been delayed by congress. Funny thing is that, congress knows of the people suffering in this country due to not having health insurance and congress also knows that if the American people were put on the same health care plan that the members of congress have, there would be plenty of money to insure every American with good worth while health coverage. The members of congress vote themselves a nice big pay raise every few years and they have the best health care that there is. However, congress seems not to want the same for the people that put them in power to make decisions for the rest of us.

This writer thinks that the American people should hold congress responsible for every American that dies due to no healthcare insurance. This country not only can afford to give it's people good health care coverage, I think the American people should demand it from our law makers.
