NO UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR MANY AMERICANS

Once again, congress has seen to it that many Americans, 1.3 million of them will not get their unemployment benefits again. To make matters worse, hundreds of thousands more will indeed loose their unemployment benefits in the weeks to come.

Of course congress has left to take a week long vacation for the 4th of July holiday. mean while over 1.3 million of their fellow countrymen sit and wonder if they will even have food for their families. The house passed the bill to extend benefits 270 - 153 however, the bill hit a snag in the senate. For a third time in as many weeks they have failed to pass this extension.

By the end of July the number of Americans not getting their benefits will be over 3 million and all because congress was in to much of a rush to pass the extension for these laid off workers. I honestly think every congressman/women should be kicked out of office and replaced. They are not doing their job to aid and help the citizens of this country. I wouldn't expect the president to step in and do anything because he is too busy trying to get 12 million illegal  aliens a free ride to citizenship to this country.

I feel for the folks in this country because they can't even depend on our congress to make sure they are getting what they are suppose to get in benefits. How ever long it takes them to get the benefits extended when they get back from their vacation is anybody's guess.

I guess some things in America never change !

Immigration Reform

Now that President Obama has health care reform behind him and out of the way I feel safe in my thinking that the President's next big overhaul will be immigration reform. Now, I do not mind telling you that I was and still am all for the health care reform bill that was passed and is now the law of the land. However, I do think that the immigration reform is NOT what a lot of people think it will be. I say this because of a little bill that was voted down and did not make it into the law books called the amnesty bill. Now this bill would indeed be reform of the immigrant policy and system however, I do not think it is what most Americans would want. I will let you take a look at the video and then you can decide if you would want this to be happening to you and your fellow Americans. Below is a news story about the amnesty bill.

The amnesty bill was defeated and did not pass. However, I would think that any immigration bill would indeed have most if not all parts of the amnesty bill in the reform bill it's self. There are a few really worrisome parts in the amnesty bill and if any of those parts are put in the immigration reform bill then, every American will take a slap in the face from our government. I am not the only one who is worried about what any immigration bill would contain. Many other Americans are adamant about the immigration issue in this country.
Michael Cutler: How Amnesty would overwhelm DHS and let terrorists and other criminals in. Family security matters, breaks down the lies behind promises that amnesty legislation would protect America's security by bringing illegal aliens "out of the shadows." "We have been told that aliens who would participate in Comprehensive Immigration Reform would be fingerprinted and they would be subject to a 'Security Check.' This is more smoke and mirrors. If a terrorist or transnational gang member managed to not be fingerprinted by American law enforcement and used a false name, they would all but be guaranteed a pathway to US citizenship with a brand new name to boot.
If you want America the way America should be then we have to make it our country, we have to take our country back!. I have nothing against anyone coming into the United States as long as they are willing to do it legally and then once they are here they need to be willing to live in this country and follow OUR laws.
The one thing I really get tired of hearing is this! "Oh but they come here and they do the dirty jobs that us Americans refuse to do". That is such crap. Now I am sure there are a few that do come here and do some sort of job. I can remember a few companies that got fined by the federal government a few years back for hiring undocumented workers. Most of them come here and live off of Mr. and Mrs. tax payer. They get on welfare and get very low rent, food stamps, free education and free health care. if you are like a lot of Americans and you don't like what is going on then please contact the white house and your congressman / woman and tell them NO Immigration reform. Do it now before it is too late.
Until next time my friends, stay healthy and take care.

Passage of the Health Care Bill

It seems that now the health care bill is passed. If you were all for the bill then that is a good thing. if you didn't want it to pass then I guess you are a not a happy camper. As with any bill that congress takes on there are good parts of the bill and there are parts that are not good.

What I can not understand is the way the republicans in congress are acting. They have said many times that they had their own health care bill to be considered. If that were the case then, maybe the republicans should have brought the bill fourth and lay it on the table for all to see. They didn't do that! One reason they did not do that may be because maybe they didn't have one in the first place. I can tell you all right now that some of these republican congressmen/women make me sick to my stomach when I hear them accuse the democrats of so called arm twisting and back room/closed door deals to get enough votes to pass the bill. Not that I do not think maybe some of that didn't take place because it probably did take place. However, I feel that the republicans have done that sort of thing many times to get what they want and nobody will convince me otherwise. I hate to say it but that kind of deal is just part of politics.

Now lets all take a look at Senator John McCain... John McCain is a senator that I always had respect for. He is a man that loves his and has served it well for many many years. Yet this very same man said in a article, that democrats should not expect any corporation on any legislation for the rest of this year.

Democrats shouldn't expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday.

McCain and another Republican senator decried the effect health reform legislation has had on the Senate, a day after the House passed the upper chamber's bill.GOP senators emerged Monday to caution that the health debate had taken a toll on the institution, warning of little work between parties the rest of this year.

"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," and "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it." McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate.

Now to me his threat sounds like just that a threat. It also sounds like a spoiled child that didn't get want he wants and is striking out in anger. Most of all it makes me feel uneasy about the republican party not voting in favor of any legislation that might be good for the American people all because the republicans are upset with the democrats. Now, tell me is that the kind of people we want making laws for us? I hardly think so and anyone with a brain can see my logic on that statement.

I have often wondered if any of the republicans and any of the 34 democrats really care about the more then 45,000 people who die each year in this country because they are not covered with any health insurance? A lot of the uninsured are honest, hard working people that are not covered by employer health insurance or they can not get health insurance due to pre existing condition. Maybe they are not covered at work and they just can not afford health insurance on their own. Do these people deserve to get sick and die just because they can not get health insurance? The answer to that question for anybody who has a brain and a heart is NO!

This health care legislation will indeed take care of the ones that can not take care of themselves. and it will make life a lot easier for families that can not afford to have their children covered with health care . Yes it will cost money however, the United States government has wasted much more money for bull crap things and now money can be spent for something worth while.

AARP has stated the health care bill will indeed do a lot to help our senior citizens. And why not because the senior citizens in this country have already paid their dues now it is time to give back to them.

The one thing I have always felt is that republicans represent the wealthy. they really do not care about the average citizen and the way they handled during this health care bill just proves it. They used scare tactics in hopes to get this bill defeated and it did not work. Now they want to try to sue the federal government to get some aspects of the bill gone. Well, good luck to them because I really do think that as far as this law is concerned, federal law would supersede state law. Most of the time that is the case.

Even if you did not want this bill to become law, you should be happy it passed. the reason why is this... You either wanted or did not want health care to become law' either way the passage of this bill has done one thing. That thing is... This bill if nothing else has opened the eyes of the American people. if nothing else, the American people will be watching our elected officials a lot more closely now then ever before! As well as if the American people do not like what any of our law makers are doing ( such as the republicans making threats to not cooperate in any legislation be it good or bad) then at that time the American public will have the right to get them fired!!

If you are in favor of the health care reform legislation and you want to co sign the bill just click here to go to the site and co-sign the health care bill.

Until next time my friends stay healthy and take care.

HEALTH CARE REFORM

Hello and Welcome to my Blog. This blog will be updated at least once a week and more often when I have time . Today's issue is on Health Care Reform.

The one thing I will give president Obama is his desire to supply the American people with heath care. He at least knows and understands that there are a lot of people in this country that work two and three jobs and still can not afford to buy health insurance and there are even more people in this country that are not covered by employer plans and are denied health insurance due to pre-existing conditions.
The many Americans that do not want government run health insurance seem to not understand or do not care about their fellow citizens. We have people in this country that are honest and hard working people paying their own way and these same people are the ones who are not covered by employer health plans and the same ones that must decide each winter to either heat their homes or eat during the cold months. It is our government's duty to supply these people with heath care and if that means putting in a public option then so be it.

The health care reform bill is not dead it has just been delayed by congress. Funny thing is that, congress knows of the people suffering in this country due to not having health insurance and congress also knows that if the American people were put on the same health care plan that the members of congress have, there would be plenty of money to insure every American with good worth while health coverage. The members of congress vote themselves a nice big pay raise every few years and they have the best health care that there is. However, congress seems not to want the same for the people that put them in power to make decisions for the rest of us.

This writer thinks that the American people should hold congress responsible for every American that dies due to no healthcare insurance. This country not only can afford to give it's people good health care coverage, I think the American people should demand it from our law makers.
