NO UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR MANY AMERICANS

Once again, congress has seen to it that many Americans, 1.3 million of them will not get their unemployment benefits again. To make matters worse, hundreds of thousands more will indeed loose their unemployment benefits in the weeks to come.

Of course congress has left to take a week long vacation for the 4th of July holiday. mean while over 1.3 million of their fellow countrymen sit and wonder if they will even have food for their families. The house passed the bill to extend benefits 270 - 153 however, the bill hit a snag in the senate. For a third time in as many weeks they have failed to pass this extension.

By the end of July the number of Americans not getting their benefits will be over 3 million and all because congress was in to much of a rush to pass the extension for these laid off workers. I honestly think every congressman/women should be kicked out of office and replaced. They are not doing their job to aid and help the citizens of this country. I wouldn't expect the president to step in and do anything because he is too busy trying to get 12 million illegal  aliens a free ride to citizenship to this country.

I feel for the folks in this country because they can't even depend on our congress to make sure they are getting what they are suppose to get in benefits. How ever long it takes them to get the benefits extended when they get back from their vacation is anybody's guess.

I guess some things in America never change !

WHATS WRONG WITH AMERICA

What's wrong with America? Well that is a big question and there are more then just one answer to that question. There are a lot of things wrong with our country but, let's all remember there are also a lot of things right with our country. What's right with America will be a separate blog. Now on to the things that America should change if we want to remain a world leader.

1. A big problem that we have in this country is ( unemployment ) It's the worst since 1945, and that's if you believe the official government numbers that don't even count people who gave up looking for work. Also, please remember that back in 1945 there were not near as many people in this country as we have today. There are many many Americans today that are not working and not because they do not want to work but rather, because they can't find work.

2. Our public schools systems is also a big problem in this country. There are The and have been cases where as a public school system has passed a student when that student has not had good enough grades to pass.

3. Health insurance for Americans. Ah, now that is a real big issue. I admit we have to do something about the health insurance in this country or maybe do something about the lack of insurance for Americans. WE will have to wait and see just how well President Obama's health care reform works out for the average American citizen.

4. The Environmental policies in or country at time have a lot to be desired. We constantly dump chemicals and poisons in our rivers and waterways. I fear that some day soon this practice of polluting America's water ways will catch up with us. As a matter of fact it already has started to catch up with us and we can see that every time we test our water. In a way it has gotten somewhat better but still, we do have large corporations that continue to poison our lakes and rivers. I found an article from the yea 2004 and I would think our rivers and waterways have become even more polluted since then.

5. Our nation is being over run by Illegal immigrants. We have laws against people being in this country illegally. yet our entire system of education, medical, food stamp and welfare systems are bombarded by the illegals. Strange thing is that the our government has as far as immigration reform is this....Just give them citizenship. Oh and if they happen to have family members back home, They can come into the U.S. and be handed citizenship too. Problem is, this country can not afford to continue to take care of these people and, the ONLY sensible thing to do is send them back from where they came . Now I can just see all the hate mail coming in AGAIN because every time I say that in a blog I get plenty of it. To be honest I don't care. I know illegal immigration is wrong and so do the people sending me the hate emails. This country needs better security at the boarders and better ways to stop our boarders from being crossed by illegals. Thanks to sen. Coburn...NO unemployment benefits

Well my friends it seems as if some folks in our country will not be receiving their unemployment checks anytime soon. Thanks to Sen Tom Coburn Oklahoma (REP.) he alone blocked the unemployment benefit for Americans who have been out of work for more then 6 months. Now, I do think Senator Coburn had a right to ask if the 9 billion dollar cost would add to the national debt and to try to figure another way to come up with the money needed.

However to block it and cost many Americans their benefits is just inexcusable. I also though it was inexcusable when Senator Jim Bunning Kentucky (REP) did the same stupid stunt just a few weeks ago. Senator Bunning changed his mind again a few days later under pressure from both republican and democrats in congress. Hopefully, Senator Coburn will do the same. But this time it is a bit different because this time congress is on their Easter vacation and will not be able to try to fix Senator Coburn disregard fro the well being of the American people so fast as they could with Senator Bunning's case of bad judgement. Once again my friends it seems that when the American people who are unemployed and need help, can not depend on the republicans to offer help.

Now I am NOT saying that the democrats are a perfect party. Believe me when I tell you that I have had my problems with the democrats too. However, I must admit that I have never seen the democrats mess up and put the American peoples well being in jeopardy as I have just seen the republicans do these past 9 months. It seems as if the republicans are showing their true colors it can not be a very pretty color to look at. In my own personal opinion with comments like the one Senator john Mccain made a few days ago in a speech that made me cringe when i heard it, Democrats shouldn't expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday.

As you can see McCain , Coburn, Bunning and other republicans are so angry that the health bill passed. they do things and say thing as to where one would wonder if they care at all about America and it's people or just their own well being and if they will be elected when election time rolls around again.

I can promise you that these three morons do not give a damn about unemployment funds running out. I can also promise you that if any senator had to live and depend on unemployment to pay their bills and feed their family , If that were the case the unemployment fund would NEVER run out! They would see to it that there was always enough money in the fund. if congress had to have the same health plan we have, we would have the best plans available. At least the democrats have it that we can go into a pool and get the lowest prices there are for health insurance under the new health care law. I do not think if the republicans had their way that would not happen .

All I can say for now is the republicans in congress are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats. they are calling names and are angry that they did not get their way. This writer thinks they need to grow up and act like adults.

At this point I would not want any one of the republicans in congress leading the country.
