NO UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR MANY AMERICANS

Once again, congress has seen to it that many Americans, 1.3 million of them will not get their unemployment benefits again. To make matters worse, hundreds of thousands more will indeed loose their unemployment benefits in the weeks to come.

Of course congress has left to take a week long vacation for the 4th of July holiday. mean while over 1.3 million of their fellow countrymen sit and wonder if they will even have food for their families. The house passed the bill to extend benefits 270 - 153 however, the bill hit a snag in the senate. For a third time in as many weeks they have failed to pass this extension.

By the end of July the number of Americans not getting their benefits will be over 3 million and all because congress was in to much of a rush to pass the extension for these laid off workers. I honestly think every congressman/women should be kicked out of office and replaced. They are not doing their job to aid and help the citizens of this country. I wouldn't expect the president to step in and do anything because he is too busy trying to get 12 million illegal  aliens a free ride to citizenship to this country.

I feel for the folks in this country because they can't even depend on our congress to make sure they are getting what they are suppose to get in benefits. How ever long it takes them to get the benefits extended when they get back from their vacation is anybody's guess.

I guess some things in America never change !

Jan Brewer & Sarah Palin

I must admit that I never really cared for Sarah Palin. That was until I heard her say in an interview some things that are very important to me. One of those things was this.
Sarah Palin believes that our boarders in this country should be secure. She has NO problem with people coming into this country the legal way however, She as I have a big problem when people cross our boarders illegally. I am very happy that has teamed with Arizona governor Jan Brewer to try to put a holt on the illegal immigration problem in Arizona. I am also very happy to hear that Texas and a few other states are indeed considering very similar immigration laws. Oh and, by the way, Seventy percent of the citizens in the state of Arizona approve of governor Brewer's immigration law.

What I do not understand is why some of the bleeding hearts across this country have a problem with the Arizona immigration law because I have read the law and it is a mirror of the federal immigration law. A mirror law that is being enforced due to the fact that the federal government has failed and refuses to do anything about the illegal immigration problem.

Now, lets take a look at this problem... Some people say that illegals come here and do the work that Americans refuse to do. That is pure bull crap. In most cases the illegal is hired by employers to do work and they are usually paid in cash under the table. The employers that are doing this pay very very little and they are the ones exploiting the illegals.

Then you have the illegals that come here with fake documents and they really play the system. They get a job with minimal pay because they have fake papers. They get health insurance from that job. They get fired or laid off from that job and because they have fake papers, they draw unemployment benefits. Some of them even have fake papers stating that they have been in this country five years or more and that way they can get welfare. the ones that get welfare are also getting food stamps, free education, free health care and in most cases they get government paid housing.

All this welfare and other benefits have to be paid for somehow and I bet you can guess how they are getting paid can't you? Well, if you can't then please allow me to fill you in. All this welfare and other benefits are being paid by YOU and I and also by our parents and grand parents and for those already retired in this country watch out because if the Obama administration is successful in getting immigration reform passed, the social security benefits that you receive could lessen. or at least I heard that the other day on some radio station I had on. I mean the cost of making some 12 million illegals proud citizens of the United States of America has to be paid some how. And please do not be so misinformed that you might think that the illegals would have to pay all that cost. About the only time someone becoming an American citizen has to pay for that is when that person is doing it the legal way.

I guess another thing I fail to understand is the ones that just want us to make all these Illegals automatic citizens. I mean they have to be educated enough to understand that doing so would put this country in even worse and dire finical shape the it already is in. That is because the lawyers for each illegal would be paid for with American citizen tax dollars instead of that tax money going towards something that can help citizens of this country. Also once they were made citizens, that would be 12 million more people in the health care system that Obama wanted so bad. also, once they became citizens of this country they would be eligible for welfare think about it guys, that is 12 million more people that could get on welfare and you think taxes are bad already, just wait until that happens. this is not the United States of America anymore. This country has become the United States of come on in and bleed us dry. My parents and grand parents and for sure this countries founding fathers would roll over in their graves if they could see what this country has become

Now people if you disagree with what I write then you are more then welcome to click on the dislike button and also if you can send me an email telling me why you didn't like it I will be more then happy to respond in a civil matter. However, I have already turned over to the proper authorities the hate mail I have received. Any more hate mail will also be turned over to the authorities! This blog is all about the exchange of opinions, thoughts and ideas. This blog is NOT about the name calling some of you guys seem to just have to do and it is NOT about threats that some of you seem to like to make.

If my blog bothers you that much then, DON"T FREAKING READ IT !! it is that simple.

In closing I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the State of Arizona and Governor Jan Brewer and also Sarah Palin for not being afraid to STAND UP for the United States of America and the American Citizen

Should Welfare Recipients Be Drug Tested

Today's issue is a tricky one. There has been a lot of talk lately about if welfare recipients should be drug tested before receiving their checks each month? To answer that one would have to be able to determine if the folks that receive welfare checks each month use illegal drugs more then anyone else. That would be very hard to do plus the fact that drug testing is expensive.

It is also important to remember that according to early studies, the number of welfare recipients that were using illegal drugs were not that large at all. As far as my personal thoughts are concerned, I myself think that illegal drug use among welfare recipie
nts is just about the same as illegal drug use of non welfare recipients. To take that one step farther, I would think that some of the rich folks in our country have just as much problem with illegal drug use if not more then the folks on welfare. Simply because they have more money. However, some states are in favor of mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients as reported by fox news.
I am sure we do have illegal drug use in this country by welfare just as I am sure we have illegal drug use in this county by non welfare recipients. Lets take a brief look at some of the people who made it into our homes every week via television and the ones that made the silver screen light up larger then life. These people were neither poor or on welfare and they all had serious drug issues. First one that comes to mind was John Belushi master comic. Then there was one that really shook me up because he was so young and so talented his life looked so good for him and that was River Phoenix. There is also Heath Ledger, Brad Renfro.

People like this can often do as they please and avoid the law for long periods of time. Even when they are caught for the use of illegal drugs,
they have very good high priced lawyers that can get them lighter sentience .

Now one thing we all need to remember is that because one might take drugs does not necessarily make that person a bad person! What makes someone good or bad is just what they have in their heart and soul. It is sort of like liking a person but not liking what they do or not liking that person's actions at the time.

Do drug user need help to kick the habit? The answer is yes but so do most cigarette smokers and heavy alcohol users. Also, it is important to understand that alcohol is indeed a chemical and that makes it a drug. The same go's for the nicotine in tobacco. The only real difference is alcohol and tobacco are legal for adults. However both can be addicting and hard to stop using.

However, the question is should welfare recipients be required to pass a drug test to be able to get their welfare checks? In this writers opinion the answer would be Yes. Most employers already require a pre-employment drug screen before one is hired. So if we accept that then, I think that a drug screen should be done to anyone applying for welfare, food stamps, medical card or government housing. Any government assistance program should have drug screening as a regular procedure.

Most states already have the legal right to do so but some states do not want to go that far. The 1996 Welfare Reform Act authorized - but did not require - states to impose mandatory drug testing as a prerequisite to receiving state welfare assistance.

I would think that as this recession worsens and I am almost sure that it will because believe me, The United States is far from being out of the woods as far as this recession is concerned.I would think we will see more and more states require a periodic unannounced drug screening on different recipients of government assistance programs. The reason is this The government is looking to save money anyway it can and even though some say that drug screening is racist or unconstitutional, I myself do not believe it is either. I happen to think that it makes good dollar& sense to do so.

Let me say that it is OK if you do not agree with me because that is what this great country we live in is all about. Different ideas, different ways of thinking and different ways of looking at things.

Until next time folks, have a great one and take care.
